Graffiti Spirits Group Raises Over £30,000 to Support Hospitality Education Charity La Salle Hotel School

GSG Hospitality (Graffiti Spirits Group), one of the North West’s most dynamic independent hospitality groups, has proudly announced that in conjunction with their guests, they have raised over £30,000 in support of La Salle Hotel School, an ambitious charitable project dedicated to transforming the lives of young people in Liverpool through hospitality education.

A reflection of GSG Hospitality’s deep-rooted commitment to giving back to communities, the donation will support La Salle Hotel School Liverpool. A pioneering initiative from La Salle Hospitality Education Charity, set to open a fully operational hotel and restaurant serving as both a community hub and a real-world training environment.

Located in Croxteth, Liverpool the school aims to break down barriers and unlock potential by providing hands-on training in catering, business management, customer service and horticulture. Students will gain practical experience while learning from seasoned professionals, equipping them with life-changing skills and pathways to rewarding careers in the global hospitality industry.

Matt Farrell, co-founder of GSG Hospitality, said: “We’ve always believed in the power of hospitality to change lives. Supporting La Salle Hotel School aligns perfectly with our values and vision, to build not just great venues, but to offer hospitality as a viable career. It’s inspiring to be part of a movement that opens doors for the next generation. I have to thank the amazing guests of GSG Hospitality venues who have helped us raise this money. ”

“I’m especially excited about being involved in the horticulture program at La Salle Hotel School. The Kitchen Garden and Plot-to-Plate initiative are not only brilliant for teaching sustainability and food provenance, but they’ll also play a big part in shaping the seasonal and locally inspired menus at NORD. Connecting young people with where food comes from, right down to the soil, and then seeing that produce influence our dishes is a powerful way to blend education with creativity. It’s an inspiring collaboration and a real step forward for the region’s food scene.”

Founded by John Ennis and Matt Farrell, GSG Hospitality operates 11 award-winning venues across Liverpool and Manchester and continues to push boundaries with unique concepts including Duke Street Market, NORD, The Hightown Inn, Bold Street Coffee, Salt Dog Slims, Manolo and many more. The company prides itself on nurturing talent from within, offering continuous development and training opportunities to its team, making the support of La Salle’s educational mission a natural extension of its ethos.

La Salle Hotel School has already secured planning permission and is actively fundraising to bring its vision to life. GSG Hospitality’s donation marks a significant step forward in that journey.
Gerry Proctor, spokesperson for La Salle Hotel School, added: “This generous contribution from GSG Hospitality is more than just a donation, it’s an investment in young people, in opportunity, and in the future of Liverpool. We’re incredibly grateful for their support and look forward to working together to make this transformative vision a reality.”
